Aspen Ketamine Center
How often are ketamine infusions given?
A single dose of ketamine produces antidepressant effects that begin within hours, peak within 24–72 hours, and then dissipate, typically within 2 weeks if ketamine is not repeated. Compared to commonly prescribed SSRI’s and SNRI’s, which take 4-6 weeks until a noticeable change is felt, ketamine works very rapidly.
In order to sustain the positive effectiveness of ketamine for longer periods, a series of infusions is recommended within a 2-to-3-week period. Our protocol structures infusions at 2 infusion per week for 3 weeks, or 3 infusions per week for 2 weeks. Each client is carefully evaluated and a treatment plan is formulated, giving you the best possible results for a long time. Occasionally, a booster infusion may be needed monthly, quarterly, or yearly to continue these results.

New clients for Ketamine therapy are required to obtain a physician's referral prior to your infusion appointment.
